This page took me way longer to write than it should have, which is strange because I write personal essays, so all of
my writing is about me. . . but not like this.

So. . . who am I? I am a Tulsa-based essayist, who copy/line edits and does 2:1 group and private coaching with her friend. I am a certified yoga instructor who occasionally teaches pop-up yoga classes.

Now that we’ve gotten the ghastly American capitalist “what do you do” stuff out of the way. . .

I carry a book everywhere, including the grocery store, brunch, and the Starbucks drive-thru, just in case. I buy oat milk because it has a longer shelf life. I drink less than I used to, but still love bourbon neat, a dirty vodka martini, or occasionally a nice cabernet. Don't try to get between me and a bowl of pasta, a medium rare steak, or a plate of tacos with a side of chips and queso. I have a cat named Joan Didion. I bought my desk because it reminded my of Carrie's from Sex and the City. I love day baseball games, watching thunderstorms, putting together puzzles, and the music of Edith Piaf and Mumford & Sons.

That is probably the most self-conscious bit of writing I’ve ever done.
